A house at Merson Corners was smashed again by a vehicle involved in an accident at the corner M-40 and 102nd Street around 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 6. This time no one was seriously injured. The driver who plowed into the house was southbound on M-40 and was able to walk away from the crash.

A 10-year-old Allegan boy was struck by a car on M-89 at around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, while trying to cross from Family Dollar to Burrito Boss. He suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Bronson Hospital.
A Martin man admitted to having sex with a mentally disabled person living at the facility where he worked. Benjamin Paul-Alexander Arce, 23, pleaded guilty Monday, June 10, to one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct by person in position of trust with a mentally disabled victim in Allegan County Circuit Court.

The weather was great for both the first Friday concert in Allegan's series Rollin' on the River as well as for Bridgefest on Saturday, June 8.
Allegan’s City Council set a Public Hearing on June 24, for the adoption of an ordinance regulating consumer fireworks in accordance with a new state law allowing city’s to reduce the number of holidays they can be used to four.
