Dunningville veteran Norris Northrup speaks about Honor Flight

Norris Northrup of Dunningville was one of 69 war veterans flown to Washington, D.C., Saturday, April 25.
A nonprofit group has organized the Talons Out Honor Flight in this region for several years.
The veterans, mostly of World War II, are taken on a day trip to the nation’s capital to visit that war’s memorial and others.
They returned to Michigan Saturday around 9 p.m. and were greeted at Loy Norrix High School by hundreds of people waving flags and “Welcome Home” signs. The crowd lined the entrance to the school and a lengthy path through the building, shaking veterans’ hands and thanking them.
This interview was conducted in a second gym where loved ones and family gathered with the veterans after the parade before going home.
